Efficiency measurements are obtained by Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), incorporating size and management-related variables as inputs and outputs. Efficiency and super-efficiency coefficients are obtained for each bank and conclusions are made concerning the existence of differing levels of profitability according to the efficiency level with which the banks are managed.
