Considering the historical mixture of races that characterize Cuban culture, the religious perspective seems to be an important access point to the national identity. To introduce the authors analysis, the chapter focuses on the territory of Havana, and considers some details of the urban landscape. The image the author observed of Che Guevara overlapped by the white figures of new born santeros well expresses the analytical purpose of this article: the interaction of two different logics, the political and the religious, each expressing a worldly transcendence sense. Keywords: Cuban culture; santeros ; territory of HavanaRead More
