Water utilities throughout the United States are trying to reduce filtered water turbidity, pathenogenic taste and odor, organics, and minerals in response to stricter criteria under the Safe Drinking Water Act and public pressure. By rejecting water's impurities, membranes can soften, filter, and disinfect waters in a single process and reliably treat water to the current and anticipated future standards.
