Title: Implementing RFID Technology in Library Sirayaporn Phalawan 1
Abstract: RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is the technology that uses radio wave to identify objects automatically. This technology has been applied to library services; by storing data in RFID tag and attaching it inside the book, the tag will be read by the interrogator and the data will be transformed to the library management system for using with self-check-in/check-out station, security management, book sorting and inventory checking, etc. RFID for library operates with High Frequency (HF) and Ultra High Frequency (UHF) types. Thus, to implement RFID in library, related standards and topics should be considered and planned carefully; including defines attributes of the system appropriately.
