Title: Radiothérapie en conditions stéréotaxiques des métastases cérébrales Radiosurgery in brain metastasis
Abstract: ▶SummARY Brain metastasis is a frequent cause of mortality and morbidity. Prognosis remains poor with median survival of less than one year. The standard approach is whole brain radiation therapy, following in surgical resection in selected cases. Publication of some randomised trial has increased popularity of radiosurgery, which is now proposed to patients presenting with limited number of small brain lesions. Purpose of this review article is to discuss the role of radiosurgery in the treatment of brain metastasis.
