The treatment of CMV infection is controversial, with numerous claims of successful treatment with different drugs. We report the successful use of acyclovir in a serious case of CMV infection occurring in a young woman 3 1/2 years after a renal transplant. This result is encouraging and supports the future use of acyclovir in the treatment of CMV infection in this and other settings.Read More
