Description: A new limonoid was isolated from the ethanol extract of dried roots and stems of Atalantia buxifolia (Poir) Oliv.. Based on chemical properties and spectral analysis, including 1H- and 13CNMR, DEPT, MS, IR and UV spectra, its structure have been identified as: 6-deoxy-6 alpha-acetoxyatalantin acetate. This compound was isolated from this plant for the first time.
