The material used was tissue from experimental and human glomerulonephritis. With the direct method, immunoperoxidase was 10 to 30 times more sensitive than immunofluorescence. However, the sensitivities became equivalent if the level of the labeling in immunofluorescence was equal to or superior to 6.
