Title: POSTOPERATIVE CONFUSION A GUIDE TO MANAGEMENT
Abstract: Confusion and agitated behaviour are common complications after operation, especially in elderly patients. It is customary to prescribe sedation, instead of regarding confusion as a symptom whose causes must be diagnosed, and preferably anticipated and prevented. A simple scheme of management is outlined, with special emphasis on common conditions.
