In this paper, the fourteen forms of the...This paper discusses the potential of applying western somatic approaches to the teaching of traditional Eastern Do-Ing exercises (Shao Lin Da-Mo Yi Jin Jing). In this paper, the fourteen forms of the main Do-Ing exercise, Shao Lin Da-Mo Yi Jin Jing, of Master Lin, the 37th generation master of China's Shaolin Temple, are proposed to show how certain somatic approaches may be introduced to enhance practical teaching strategies.
