Title: Intravitreal triamcinolone for diabetic macular oedema. Method and complications
Abstract: Macular edema is the first cause of visual impairment in diabetic population. The gold standard for diabetic macular edema is macular laser photocoagulation, the benefit of which was demonstrated in the Early Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS). In recent years, many clinical and experimental studies demonstrated that intravitreal injection of triamcinolone acetonide is a therapeutic option for treating diabetic macular edema.
