PET-CT has revolutionized oncologic imaging. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can provide a more sensitive diagnosis than computed tomography (CT) for the most common type of stroke, called ischemic stroke. A sequence – Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) has revolutionized the role of MRI in many disease processes.
