Title: Geochemical Features and Geological Implications of Sulfur and Lead Isotopes of Laochang VMS Lead and Zinc Deposit,Shanxi Province
Abstract: Laochang lead and zinc deposit is a massive sulfide deposits related to marine volcanic rock. The δ34S values of metal sulfides in the ores range from 4.19‰ to 4.83‰,with an average of 4.472 5.These sulfur compositions indicate that the ore-forming materials originate from seawater and aerolite. The ratios of 206Pb/204Pb,207Pb/204Pb and 208Pb/204Pb of sulfide ores range from 17.891 to 18.056,15.516 to 15.576 and 37.881 to 38.088 respectively, which the first one is a little lower than the later two.The lead compositions show that the ore-forming materials originate from mantle and crust. To sum up based on analysis of sulfur and lead isotopes,it indicates the multiple-source characteristics of ore-forming materials in Laochang lead and zinc deposit.
