Title: Empirical studies on the differences between China's urbanization and regional economic growth
Abstract: Based on the provincial panel data from 1989 to 2009,this article constructs a co-integration model,and analyzes the level of urbanization,regional economic growth and long-term relations.It is found that there was a significant positive correlation between urbanization level and regional economic growth in China,and there was a long-term stability of the co-integration relation.Overall,the level of urbanization and economic growth exist a big gap between different regions,and the order of the level of urbanization affecting regional economic development is: eastern,central,northeast,and west.Therefore,accelerating the urbanization process in the household registration system reform is urgent,and it will fundamentally help to improve the level of urbanization and regional economic growth.
