Title: A Parameter Comparison of Platelets in Cryopreservation and Liquid Apheresis
Abstract: Objective To compare platelet count,MPV,PDW,PH value, hypotonic shock response( HSR) and CD62 P in fresh and cryopreserved apheresis platelets, that are referred to as the main quality parameters of platelets in cryopreservation and apheresis. Methods Thirty-two bags of platelets( ≥2. 5 × 1011/ L,250 ~ 300 ml / bag) were collected by Trima5. 0 blood cell separator, and an aliquot of 10 ml platelets from each bag was taken as fresh group after 96 hours preserved at 22℃ and frozen group after 10 months preserved with 5% dimethyl sulfoxide at- 80℃,which were thawed at 42℃ in water bath before using. Results No significant difference was seen in platelet counts and PH value( P 0. 05),but significant differences were presented between MPV,PDW,HSR and CD62p( P 0. 05) compared to fresh group. Conclusions Compared to fresh apheresis platelets, the activity of cryopreserved platelets was decreased but activation seems to be elevated.
