Represented by Sanxin...The Shang and Zhou Dynasties was a crux period in the development of ancient Chinese culture. In this period, cultural exchange between eastern and western region was prosperous. Represented by Sanxingdui, Bashu bronze culture expanded to the remote eastern region. Min Yue clan, A branch of ancient Yue clan, were living in the Fujian area near the East Sea. The above mentioned two regional cultures mingled together and formed local characteristics in the southeast and Fujian area. The evidences of these exchanges were the ivory Zhang discovered in Puzhang area where Min Yue clan lived. This paper intends to contrast the characteristics of ivory Zhang discovered from Sichuan and Fujian. Cultural exchanges and inheritance between eastern and western region in the Shang and Zhou dynasties are also discussed.Read More
