Materials and Methods To determine the neuroanatomic functional brain areas responsible for single Chinese reading, blood oxygenation level dependent (BOLD)block design by 1.5T MRI was performed in 11 healthy volunteer Chinese. Results The BOLD-fMRI studies demonstrated language cortical areas. The activated areas included left lateralization of frontal(BAs 9 and 47)and temporal(BA 37)cortices and right lateralization of visual systems(BAs 17–19),parietal lobe(BA 3),and cerebellum. Conclusion The visual stimulating task by single Chinese is a feasible and simple imaging method for studying languages processing in the human brain. This approach is the more reasonable and steady measurement for clinical Application.Read More
