Title: Numerical Simulation of Exterior Flow Field on Air Cooled Platform
Abstract: The exterior flow field on air cooled platform was numerically simulated for one 600 MW direct air cooled unit by SIMPLE algorithm and k-emodel.The effect of different wind velocities on heat exchange efficiency of direct air cooled condenser was analyzed.The cause of hot air circumfluence phenomena was expounded.The result indicate that,the heat exchange efficiency of air cooled condenser will firstly rise then fall with the increase of ambient wind velocity.There will be an optimum wind velocity value corresponding to the highest heat exchange efficiency in theory.The quantity of cold air suction may reduce with the hot air circumfluence.Thus the temperature difference of heat exchange will reduce to affect the heat exchange efficiency.
