Title: On the "evaluation-oriented teaching management" in Chinese universities
Abstract: In this review,after addressing the basic requirements on teaching management stipulated by The evaluating scheme for teaching affair of undergraduate in universities that promulgated by the Chinese Ministry of Education(MOE),the five problems of teaching management existed to date and need to be overcome or improved in Chinese universities,i.e.the staff of teaching administrators,administrative regulations and their implementing mechanisms,administrative institution for teaching,the inspecting and evaluating system of teaching quality and funding are figured out.Accordingly,the following five solutions are proposed:(1)fostering the conception that management is crucial for high quality and effect of teaching;(2)establishing the managerial regulations and institutions in an all-round way to reinforce the criterion for teaching management;(3)constructing energetically the staff of teaching administrators to strengthen teaching management;(4)erecting the inspecting and evaluating system of teaching quality to improve the managerial level;(5)increasing the funds for managerial affair to enhance the reward of teaching management.
