Title: Relationship Between Fatigue and Quality of Life in Patients after Breast Cancer Operation
Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between quality of life and fatigue in patients after breast cancer operation.Methods One hundred and seventy-two patients after breast cancer operation were investigated by the use of scale of fatigue severity,scale of life quality of the patients with breast cancer and self-designed questionnaire.Results 52.3% of the patients after breast cancer operation felt fatigued,with a total score of life quality at(92.12±11.05).The total score of life quality,physical condition,emotional state,social/family situation,function and extra concerns in the group of patients with postoperative fatigue were not as good as those of the non-fatigue group(t=10.024,6.157,2.979,5.679,5.772,5.480,P=0.000,0.000,0.003,0.000,0.000,0.000).Hotelling T2 test analysis showed that the life quality was higher in the non-fatigue group.Conclusion The rate of fatigue is high in patients after breast cancer operation and the score of life quality of these patients is lower.The more fatigue they suffer,the lower their quality of life is.
