Title: RP-HPLC simultaneous determination of tetrahydropalmatine and protopine in Rhizoma Corydalis
Abstract: A reserved-phase HPLC method is established for simultaneous determination of the content of tetrahydropalmatine and protopine in Rhizoma Corydalis from different habitats. The samples are separated on a Phenomenex Luna C_(18) column with mobile phase methanol-phosphate buffer (pH 768, 65∶35) and detected at wavelength of 281 nm. The average recoveries respectively for tetrahydropalmatine and protopine are 10167% and 9813%, RSD are 144% and 137%. The contents of the two alkaloid in Rhizoma Corydalis from different habitats show obvious difference. The method is simple, accurate, quick and suitable to determine content and evaluate quality for the drugs.
