Title: Susceptivity of different host insects to symbiotic bacteria of entomopathogenic nematodes
Abstract: Xenorhabdus and Photorhabdus were entomopathogenic bacteria symbiotically associated with insect pathogenic nematodes.Ten representative strains are isolated from their nematode symbionts. They were highly oral virulent to insects, varying among different species and isolates, and bioassayed against several insect pests. Pieris rapae was found the most sensitive host species to all ten symbiotic bacteria isolates. The oral toxicity of Xenorhabdus nematophila HB310-59 was highest among all 10 symbiotic bacteria strains.
