Title: Experimental Study on Nondestructive Testing of Concrete Slabs with Radar Wave
Abstract: Three concrete slabs with steel bars,cavity,foreign matter and bonding layer in it are fabricated and tested by using radar in order to measure their inner states.In the Light of the analysis on the radar wave image,the particularity of the radar wave image on steel bars,cavity,foreign matter and bonding layer in specimens are investigated and identified.The results show that all of the radar wave image of the steel bars,cavity,wood block and polystyrene foam in specimens are indicated as protuberant reflex arcs,and the steel bars have the obvious effect on the shape of the reflex arcs of the cavity or foreign matter below steel bars.The study results provide the experimental basis for the nondestructive testing and quality evaluation on the inner states of reinforced concrete structures.
