Title: Geriatric oncology patients with opioid treatment of moderate to severe adverse reactions of pain and Analysis
Abstract: Objective To investigate the adverse reactions in elderly patients with tumors in the application of opioid therapy in severe pain. Methods March 2010 to February 2012 in geriatric oncology 128 patients hospitalized in our department,to take their pain opioid therapy. China pain assessment tools( CCPAT) and NRS pain digital evaluation scale comprehensive pain assessment. Opioids have been used before admission,did not meet the analgesic effect,depending on the dose translated to determine the starting dose,the initial use of opioids in patients start small dose. Outbreak pain more than 3 times the number of daily or pain remission or mitigation not ideal,the dose increase of 25% on the basis of the reason dose during treatment. Recorded daily in patients with pain location,intensity and toxic side effects. Results After treatment,the median pain score of 3. 128 cases of patients with 118 cases( 92. 2%) to moderate ease. 128 patients 76 cases of adverse reactions,the rate was 59. 4%,the most common adverse reactions were gastrointestinal symptoms( constipation,and nausea and vomiting),the rate was 69. 5%. Conclusion Opioids can effectively alleviate severe pain in the elderly cancer patients,its most important adverse reactions,gastrointestinal symptoms in the application process to take preventive measures to reduce the incidence.
