Title: Study on quenching and tempering process of 800 MPa high strength steel plate
Abstract: The quenching and tempering process of 800 MPa high strength low alloy steel was researched,the effect of different quenching and tempering temperatures on mechanical properties and microstucture of tested steel were analyzed.The results showed that when the quenching temperature was between 880 ℃ and 920 ℃,the strength decreased with the increase of quenching temperature,while the impact toughness at-40 ℃ increased first and then decreased and reached the maximum at 900 ℃.As the tempering temperature was between 550 ℃ and 700 ℃,the strength of tested steel decreased gradually while the impact toughness at-40℃ increased with the increase of tempering temperature.The tested steel quenched at 900 ℃ and then tempered at 600 ℃ has best mechanical properties.
