Title: The Combined Application of Transurethral Electrovaporization Ablation and Transurethral Prostatectomy for BPH(Report of 162 cases)
Abstract: Objective:To evaluate a less trauma、more safety and more effective method to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).Methods:Combined electrovaporization and transurethral resection of the prostate (TUVP and TURP)were taken for 162 cases. Results:The duration of the opration was short, mean time was 52.4 min.The bleed loss during operation was low, only 7 cases required 400 ml.Transfusion during or after the operation. There is no fatal case and no severe complications. The micturation post-operation was normal.IPSS decreased from(29.4+1.8)to (6.8+1.4).Conclusions:Combined electralvaporization and transurethral resection of the prostate for BPH is more easy then traditional operation, less trauma and more safety. The curative effect is obvious with low blood loss and complications.
