Title: TCM etiology,pathogenesis and syndrome differentiation and treatment of epatolenticular degeneration
Abstract: The TCM etiology,pathogenesis and syndrome differentiation and treatment of epatolenticular degeneration were discussed according to the clinical symptoms,causes,pathology and development laws of the disease and TCM theory.The authors indicated that its etiology and pathogenesis included innate deficiency,internal copper toxin,accumulated dampness-heat,liver wind primed by heat-fire,and aggregation-accumulation due to binding of phlegm and blood stasis.The type of accumulated dampness-heat is treated,based on the therapy of clearing heat and resolving dampness and relaxing bowels and increasing urine excretion,with Gandou Tang consisting of Dahuang(Radix et Rhizoma Rhei),Huanglian(Rhizoma Coptidis) and Banzhilian(Hrba Scutellariae Barbatae),etc.The type of binding of phlegm and blood stasis is treated,based on the therapy of dispelling phlegm and resolving blood stasis,activating blood and dissipating binds with Gandouling Pian consisting of Yujin(Radix Curcumae),Jianghuang(Rhizoma Curcumae Longae),Ezhu(Rhizoma Zedoariae) and Danshen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae),etc.
