Title: Research on Canopy Interception Effect of Three Artificial Forest Types in Simian Mountain of Chongqing
Abstract: In order to understand the water conservation function of forest and provide the groundings for vegetation construction of Three Gorge Reservoir Region of Yangtze River,the paper elaborates on the research of canopy interception effect between three artificial forests,namely,coniferous forest,broad-leaved evergreen forest,and broadleaf-conifer mixed forest in Simian Mountain of Chongqing.The results show that the rainfall amount influences the canopy interception greatly.The canopy interception correlates the rainfall amount with the relationship of the power function.The rainfall amounts of three artificial forests when they reach the saturated canopy interception are 55.4 mm,52.2 mm and 102.4 mm.The rain throughfall amount correlates the rainfall amount with the relationship of unitary linear.The rain throughfall amount increases with the rainfall amount.According to the interception ratios from high to low,the three types of forests are arranged as broadleaf-conifer mixed forest,coniferous forest and broad-leaved evergreen forest.Correspondingly,the general interception ratios of the rainy season for the three forests are 32.97%,27.36% and 21.85%,and the average interception ratios are 40.77%,31.86% and 27.82%.Building on the analysis and comparison,the broad leaf-conifer mixed forest has much canopy levels and high water capacity crown,so the canopy interception effect of regional mixed forest is the best.
