Title: A Change from Subject Knowledge Based Evaluation to Occupational Competence Based Evaluation——A New Thinking of Formative Evaluation in English Teaching of Higher Vocational Education
Abstract: As an effective mode of evaluation reflecting the essence and features of higher vocational education,the successful implementation of formative evaluation in English teaching of higher vocational education requires the change from subject knowledge based evaluation to occupational competence based evaluation in its evaluation orientation.On the basis of following the principle of encouragement and practicality,creating a real occupational situation,intensifying the assessment of students' comprehensive occupational ability to use English and making the change from discipline teachers to double-professionally-titled teachers in evaluation subject are also necessary in carrying out the formative evaluation.
