Title: Ultrasound-assisted Extraction of Total Flavonoids and Triterpenoids from the Leaves of Diospyros kaki
Abstract: The ultrasound assisted extraction(UAE)of total flavonoids and total triterpenoids from the leaves of Diospyros kaki is studied in this paper. The results indicated that,at a frequency of 40 KHz,the optimized conditions for total flavonoids are as follows:extraction time of 20 min, extraction temperature of 65 ℃,ultrasound power of 480W,the ratio of solvent to material of 20,and extraction solvent of 40% ethanol. And for total triterpenoids extraction, the best extraction time, temperature, ultrasound power, the ratio of solvent to material and solvent are 20 min,75 ℃,540W,20,and 60% ethanol, respectively.Under those optimum conditions, the maximal yields of the two active constituents are 4.58mg/g and 56.4mg/g,respectively,which are higher than those by heat reflux extraction(HRE).The two active constituents, total flavonoids and triterpenoids, are then structurally elucidated by Color test and HPLC assay, respectively.
