Title: Clinical analysis of continuous drainage through intra-peritoneal catheterization in the treatment of abdominal compartment syndrome in children with serious burn injury
Abstract: Objective To summarize the clinical management of abdominal compartment syndrome in children with severe burn injury. Methods The single-cavity deep vein puncture needle was used to puncture at lower abdomen to collect peritoneal fluid into drainage bag. When abdominal fullness and distention disappeared and drained fluid was less than 15 mL/d,drainage tube was pulled out. Results With peritoneal fluid drained continuously, anasarca and abdominal fullness and distention faded away;breathing rate and heart rate decreased;urine increased;renal function improved;electrolytes and acid and alkali unbalances were corrected. Conclusion Peritoneal fluid drainage using catheterization in burn children with abdominal compartment syndrome has obvious effects on abdominal decompression.
