Abstract:Having summarized the existing literatures,this paper firstly constructs an analytical framework to analyze the affecting factors on the entrepreneurship in China.This framework includes the two insti...Having summarized the existing literatures,this paper firstly constructs an analytical framework to analyze the affecting factors on the entrepreneurship in China.This framework includes the two institutional variable indexes: the degree of marketlization and the degree of trade openness,so as to reflect the particularity of China as a transitional economy body.By making use of the panel data of China’s 30 provinces from 1984 to 2008 and employing the GMM method,this study tests the influence of such factors as population structure,factor endowment,system changes and market conditions on entrepreneurship in China.The result shows that within the sample scope of the whole country,the increasing marketlization degree and trade openness degree have effectively promoted the entrepreneurship in China.The scale of government,the required deposit rate and the crime rate are negatively correlated with entrepreneurship.The higher bank loan balance,the growth rate of world economy,the per capita consumption expenditure and highway mileage,and the better geographical location of the coastal areas all have positive influence on entrepreneurship.In the regressive analysis by region,the factors of population structure and factor endowment have some heterogeneity in their influence on entrepreneurship.Read More
