Title: The Diffusion of Mainland Culture during the Ming-Qing Dynasties in Hainan and the Formation of the Hainan Insular Culture
Abstract: During the Ming-Qing Dynasties,mainland culture represented by Han culture diffused rapidly in Hainan Island.Qiongzhou prefecture was established for the island under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province,that was a great transition of the administrative system since the Ming Dynasty.A slogan of people all over the world are in a family was raised and assimilation method was adopted,to a certain extent,the localization of government officials changed the clash and opposition of the Li nationality to the Han culture into acceptance.The system of garrison and wasteland reclamation during the Ming Dynasty accelerated the generalization of the advanced technology for production from the mainland in Hainan,and also promoted the harmony between the two people.Those embodied the following aspects: exploiting the roads,constructing the water conservancy projects,encouraging migration,initiating education,and so on.This culture diffusion,which took politics as the purpose,military affairs as the guarantee,economy as the instrumentality,and culture as the result,directly led to the final formation of the insular culture in Hainan with an obvious structure of ring belts in accordance with its geographical characteristics.
