Abstract:In order to reasonably determine the thickness of biological aerated filter bed,using the secondary effluent from a WWTP in Shenzhen City as raw wastewater,the variation of pollutants concentration al...In order to reasonably determine the thickness of biological aerated filter bed,using the secondary effluent from a WWTP in Shenzhen City as raw wastewater,the variation of pollutants concentration along the depth of combined biological aerated filter was studied.The results show that the forepart of different stages has stronger pollutants removal capacity.At the hydraulic loading rates of 6 m3/(m2·h),10 m3/(m2·h) and 14 m3/(m2·h) and filter bed thickness of 150 cm,the removal rates of TN and NO3-N are more than 50% and about 95% in the anoxic stage when the TN load is 0.6 to 0.9 kg/(m3·d),and the removal rate of NH+4-N is more than 95% in the aerobic stage when the NH+4-N load is 0.3 to 0.8 kg/(m3·d).The effluent quality reaches the wastewater reuse standard.Read More
