Title: Relationship of Human Immunoglobulin and Complement with Type and Titer of Antinuclear Antibody
Abstract: Objective To investigate the relationship of human immunoglobulin and complement with both the type and titer of antinuclear antibody(ANA).Methods The serum level of immunoglobulin(include IgG,IgA,IgM) and complement(include C3 and C4) were determined in 328 sera of patients with positive antinuclear antibody, and compared with 120 sera of negative antinuclear antibody.According to different types and titers, several groups were divided to investigate the change of immunoglobulin and complement. Results When the titer of ANA≥1∶100,the levels of IgG and IgA in patients' serum were obviously higher than that of the controls with negative antinuclear antibody(P0.01).When the titer of ANA≥1∶3 200,the levels of IgM were higher than the controls significantly(P0.01).When the titer of ANA ≥1∶1 000,the level of C3 and C4 were lower than the contrls with negative antinuclear antibody.Furthermore, except IgM,the level of IgG,IgA,C3 and C4 in the different types of ANA was obviously different. The level of IgG and IgA were higher in all kinds of ANA positive pattern than controls, but the levels of C3 and C4 were lower than the controls only in the ANA positive pattern with that such as homogeneous, speckled, cytoplasmic et al.The target antigens of ANA were widely distributed in the cell. Conclusion Immunoglobulin and complement are related to both the type and titer of ANA.
