Title: Expression of E-cadherin and Ki67 in Primary Uterine Cervical Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Lymph Node Metastases
Abstract: Objective To investigate the expressions of E-cadherin and ki67 in tissue of primary uterine cervical squamous cell carcinoma and lymph node metastases. Methods 60 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma and lymph node metastases were enrolled.Paraffin embedded tissue were assayed by immunohistochemistry for ki67 and E-cadherin.Results The positive expression of ki67 in both tissue were 85.00%(51/60);ki67 expression in primary tumor was closely associated with that in metastases(r=0.889,P0.001).The positive expression of ki67 in primary cervical squamous cell carcinoma was 56.67%(34/60)and 63.33%(38/60)in lymphatic metastasis; The expression score difference between primary tumor and metastasis showed significance(P0.01).Conclusion The ki67 expressions in primary uterine cervical squamous cell carcinoma and lymphatic metastases show high consistency, interfering that no heterogenecity in proliferation potent between them.E-cadherin upregulates in corresponding lymphatic metastases, signifying the tumor cells undergoing mesenchymal-epithial transition in the process of lymphatic metastasis.
