Abstract: Wei Boqun's unique personality was formed during his growing up:Though he was born in a wealthy merchant family,he had a deep affection for the vast poor peasants;he got to know violence playing a very importance role for the success of revolution at his early time;he was cynical and had a strong spirit of revolutionary rebellion;he hated the rotten politics and had his own mind on revolution.These qualities of his helped him to make his great contribution to the peasant movement in the history of china:he was the first person to uphold justice for peasants through comrade union;he set up self-defence corps of peasants,led triple attacks to Donglan county and revealed the prelude to the peasant armed struggle in the Right River area;he held Guangxi's first peasant movement training institute and he was called Guangxi's Pengpai by the CCCP;he led the Baise Uprising together with Deng Xiaoping and provided the uprising army with a solid base;confronting the siege operated by massive enemy forces,he smartly broke his whole troops into parts and carried on guerrilla wars.
