Title: Occurrence and Genetic Implication of Ore Minerals from Galale Copper Gold Deposit, Tibet, China
Abstract: Galale skarn type copper gold deposit was another medium-sized deposit in the Western Bangong-Nujiang metallogenic belt which is found after Duobuza porphyry copper deposit and Gaerqiong copper gold deposit. Combined with microscope identification with scanning electron microscope x-ray energy spectrum analysis, characteristic and occurrence state of the ore minerals was studied. Ore minerals mainly were metal oxides and metal sulfides. Native gold, native silver and other precious metal minerals like argentite were found. Industrial minerals of bismuth and antimony like bismuthinite, native bismuth, and stibnite were also found. Native iron, native copper, other intermetallics and an unusual native sliver bearing radioactive elements(Pa, U, and Th) were discovered. Base on correlation analysis, Ag had significant correlations with Pb, Pa and U. Research shows that the metallogenic materials have complicated components. The ore minerals of Galale have great potential of comprehensive utilization.
