Title: Numerical Simulation of Groundwater System in the Tailan River Basin
Abstract: The numerical simulation of groundwater is the mechanism simulation of groundwater in the porous medium.Based on water balance of river basin and the hydrological geology, hydrological geological parameter obtained from wells and the long term observed groundwater level data by using the ArcView GIS and professional groundwater software—FEFLOW,the two dimensional groundwater flow simulation model were built in the arid inland river basin.Adopting interpolated method of Kringing and Akima and the finite element triangular technique of Galerkin, and through the identified model, dynamics change characteristics of groundwater was simulated in the Tailan River Basin. The results showed that hydrological geology model and mathematics model were correct and the chosen hydrological geological parameter and calculated source/sink factors of groundwater were reasonable. The simulation results and observation values were inosculation and accorded with true condition in the Tailan River Basin. The groundwater model can be used to forecast the dynamic change of groundwater, which offers scientific basis and technical instruction for the reasonable exploitation of groundwater resource in the arid inland river basin.
