Title: Distribution of Magnetic Field and Its Influence on the Forming of Molten Mass in Electromagnetic Casting
Abstract: Liquidized metal is bound into shape by the electromagnetic force under the comprehensive action of 3D fields such as electromagnetic field, temperature field and flow field. The shape and stability of liquid column lie on the distribution of electromagnetic field, which is also the key decisive factor to the success or failure of electromagnetic casting. In combination of several scholars' experimental researches in a certain aspect of electromagnetic casting and through intensive theoretical analysis, this thesis presents a general and systematic analysis and induction on various aspects of electromagnetic field such as its 3D distribution, features and influencing factors of change as well as their contributions to the change of the relation between forming force field and static pressure field, and how the change affects the shape of liquid column. The article also forecasts research direction in view of the current research status.
