Title: The Relationship between High-sensitivity C-reactive Protein and Carotid Artery Atherosclerosis of Patients with Acute Cerebral Infarction
Abstract: Objective:To investigate the relationship between high-sensitivity c-reactive protein and carotid artery atherosclerosis of patients with acute cerebral infarction.Method:50 patients with acute cerebral infarction were selected from our hospital in order to study retrospective. The characters of carotid artery atherosclerosis and the concentration of high-sensitivity c-reactive protein were observed and analysed.Result:The comparison of unstable plaque percentage between the ipsilateral side of infarct and the opposite side of infarct, differences were statistically significant(P0.01).The comparison of hs-CRP level between carotid artery atherosclerosis level Ⅰ,level Ⅱ,level Ⅲ and level 0,differences were statistically significant(P0.01).Conclusion:For acute cerebral infarction patients, the hs-CRP level is closely related to carotid artery atherosclerosis.Hs-CRP is the new test index in diagnosing of acute cerebral infarction and predicting of carotid artery atherosclerosis stability.
