Title: Clinical Significance of Female Hormone Expression in Patients with Thyroid Papillary Carcinoma
Abstract: Objective:To determine the expression of female hormone in human papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC),and to explore their correlation with the clinical therapy. Methods:We collected 60 patients with thyroid papillary carcinoma,60 patients with thyroid benign adenoma, and 60 samples of normal thyroid tissue adjacent to carcinoma from January 2009 to October 2012.The expression of ER and PR were detected by immunohistochemistry.Results:1ER positive expression rate in the patients with PTC was 75.00%,in patients with benign thyroid adenoma was32.50%,and in normal thyroid tissue was 10.00%.PR positive expression rate of in patients with PTC was 63.33%,in patients with benign thyroid adenoma was 27.50%,and in normal thyroid tissue was 13.33%.The expression of ER and PR between PTC group, benign adenomas group and normal group had significant difference(P0.05).2Patients with PTC under the age of 45,their ER positive expression rate was significantly higher than those over the age of 45.The female's rate was much higher than male's(P0.05).The patients whose MACIS score over 4.32 was significantly higher than the score below 4.32(P0.05).High differentiation was significantly higher than that in low differentiation(P0.05).Patients with film infiltration and lymphatic metastasis was significantly higher than that of unincorporated patients(P0.05).3In PTC patients,PR positive expression rate had higher occurance in those whose MACTIS score was over 4.32 pionts than those below 4.32pionts(P0.05).High differentiation patients was significantly higher than that of low differentiation(P0.05);Patients with lymphatic metastasis was significantly higher than patients without(P0.05).Conclusion:ER and PR expression in patients with thyroid papillary carcinoma was significantly higher than that of benign carcinoma and normal thyroid tissue;ER and PR expression are related to age, sex, degrees of differentiation, lymph node metastasis, etc.
