Title: Application of improved laryngeal mask in painless fiberoptic bronchoscopy
Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effect of improved laryngeal mask in painless fiberoptic bronchoscopy. Methods Forty patients undergoing fibemptic bronchoscopy, were randomly divided into controlled improved laryngeal mask group(Group A,n=21) and vein general anesthesia group(Group B, n=19).The patients in Group B maintained spontaneous respiration. The blood pressure(BP),heart rate(HR),and pulse oxygen saturation(SpO2) were evaluated during endoscope inspection. The operating condition and operating time of the two groups were recorded, and side-effects during the inspection were also observed. Results The SpO2 of the patients in Group A remained at a higher level. The operating condition in Group A was significantly superior to the Group B(P0.05), and the operating time in Group A was significantly shorter than that in Group B(P0.05).Less irritating cough, breathlessness, laryngospasm, and body movement happened in Group A than those in Group B(P0.05).Conclusion Improved laryngeal mask is a safe and effective alternative to painless fiberoptic bronchoscopy.
