Abstract: The mucosal immune system is the first barrier against the pathogens that invade the organism. The barrier consists of the mucous membranes of digestive tract, respiratory, and genital tract. The local immune produced by different immune pathways results in different effects. To raise the immunity of the organism, the optimal immune pathway should be selected. We gave a brief introduction about the development of the immune pathway and effects of the mucosal immune in this article.
