Title: Determinants of FDI Inflows——A case study of China
Abstract: This paper analyzes the impact of economic fundamentals,government domestic FDI policy and international FDI policy on FDI inflows to China.The empirical results show that economic fundamentals,such as market size,potential market size,ratio of transport and communication to GDP,annual interest rate,the percentage change in consumer prices have significant impact on aggregate FDI.As far as government FDI policy is concerned,lower tariff rate,other FDI incentives policy,deregulation of restrictions,Bilateral investment agreements also have significant impact on attracting FDI,however,neither explicit nor implicit tax preference given to the foreign investors have significant impact on FDI inflows.
