Abstract:With different water extract concentrations from root of Ailanthus altissima to treat Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings,and testing seedlings' morphological and biomass indices,the paper studied the alle...With different water extract concentrations from root of Ailanthus altissima to treat Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings,and testing seedlings' morphological and biomass indices,the paper studied the allelopathic effect of the extracts on the seedlings.The results showed that when treated by water extracts from the root of Ailanthus altissima,the seedlings' height growth of Robinia pseudoacacia was inhibited,and the inhibiting effects gradually increased with the increasing of leaching solution concentration.When treated with a concentration of 1∶3,the net increase in seedling height was only 43.5% of the net growth of the control group.Compared to the control group,leaf chlorophyll contents and whole individual biomass of the treated group of Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings were reduced.All these indicated that water extracts from the root of Ailanthus altissima had special allelopathic effects on seedling growth of Robinia pseudoacacia,and inhibiting effects on the seedling growth and biomass were stronger than that of leaf chlorophyll content and leaf quantity per plant,but the effect intensity was different when treated by different leaching solution concentrations.Read More
