Title: Clinical Effect of Salvia Ligustrazine and Mecobalaminon on the Treatment of Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy
Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the effect of salvia ligustrazine and mecobalaminon on the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods: 90 diabetic patients with DPN were randomly divided into 2 groups.41 patients in the treatment group received an intravenous infusion of salvia ligustrazine 20ml in 250ml of normal saline and an intramuscular injection of mecobalaminon 500μg,once a day for 3 weeks.39 patients in the control group were treated only with mecobalamin 500μg intramuscularly, once a day for 3 weeks. The symptoms and the changes in nerve electrophysiology were observed before and after the treatment. Results: After the 3-week treatment, the effective rate of the treatment group was 87.8% while the rate of the control group was 53.9%.Clinical improvement was of statistically significance(P0.05).Nerve conduction velocity improved in different degrees after the treatment, but the difference showed no statistical significance. Conclusion: The combination of the salvia ligustrazine infusion and mecobalaminon injection can obviously improve the treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy effect,no adverse reactions, worth y of clinical use.
