Title: Improved fast handover method for hierarchical mobile IPv6 network
Abstract: Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 adds MAP to manage the movement within the same domain, thus minimizing the registration cost and greatly reducing the handover latency. But when it comes to the movement between the different domains, this hierarchical structure cannot efficiently solve the handover delay. In this paper, a new flow-based fast handover method for HMIPv6 network was presented. It combined the analysis of the flow state information and the Hierarchical structure to help reducing the handover delay and the rate of the packet loss. The analysis shows that this new method has better performance than the existing HMIPv6 method and flow-based fast handover method.
