Title: THE CONSUMPTION COMPARISON AMONG HOUSEHOLDS OF DIFFERENT INCOME LEVEL --- EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS OF RURAL HOUSEHOLD SURVEY DATA
Abstract: Econometric method was adopted to simulate demand functions for twenty three kinds of commodities using China rural households survey data of 2009,which followed the Ratio Semi-log Inverse function.Marginal budget shares and income elasticities were estimated.With the rising income,households of different income levels have different consumption tendency,households of low and middle income level tend to increase culture,education and recreation and services,health care and medical services,transportation,while for households of high income level,many commodities are necessaries,and their consumption focus on residence.
