Title: KINETICS STUDIES ON EMULSIFICATION WASTEWATER BY WET AIR OXIDATION
Abstract: A systematic study on wet air oxidation(WAO)of the emulsification wastewater was performed in a 2-litre high-pressure batch autoclave, with emphasis on the oxidation efficiency, influence factors and its kinetic characteristics.According to the expericental results, temperature, oxygen partial pressure, organic concentration in the wastewater and other operation conditions had influence on oxidation efficiency to different extent, among which temperature was the key factor:86% of COD Cr in the wastewater(initial COD Cr 48000mg·l -1)was removed after 2 hours'oxidation at 220℃,with the supply of oxygen pressure 1 2MPa.Empirical model for the WAO process on the treatment of emulsifying wastewater was developed. It was concluded from the study that WAO process could be widely applied in the emulsification wastwater treatment.
